Datacoral Connector: Mux

Datacoral Connector: Mux

Datacoral is excited to announce that our customers can better understand their video streaming performance by integrating video analytics from Mux Data using our Mux connector.

Mux Data allows companies to understand video performance and the experience of users as they’re interacting with videos. In today’s world, having a granular understanding of every user’s experience is critical for the success of a product. Mux does an incredible job making it easy to gather the required data using just a few lines of code and provides an intuitive dashboard for navigating this data.

Working with video data can be challenging though. There are many metrics that matter to an end-user (rebuffering, video startup time, playback failures), there are many platforms where video can be served (video players like HTML5, Video.js on the Web, iOS/Android on Mobile and OTT players like Roku and Chromecast) and there are many important ways to filter the data (location, browser, software version etc).

Datacoral helps you ingest all the important data from your Mux account into your data warehouse of choice using the Mux API, and without writing a single line of code.  Now, you can spend more time digging into the data and answering all the questions your team has about your users’ experience with videos.

The Mux connector can help you answer questions like:

  • What is the number of requests per hour (request throughput) for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge over the last month?
  • Which video has the slowest video startup time over the last week?
  • Where (which video, which browser, which country) are we noticing the greatest occurrence of playback failure over the last day?

For complete details, check out our documentation page for the Mux connector. If you have any questions about analyzing video performance using Mux data, drop us a note at hello@datacoral.co or sign up for a free trial.
